Yair Karlberger
Writer / Producer

Yair is a writer and producer, crafting genre-forward stories that blend psychological tension, emotional stakes, and grounded character drama. His work spans elevated horror, dark thrillers, and high-concept genre pieces, with a focus on people pushed to their limits and the choices that define them.

His pilot “On The Verge” won Best Teleplay at CineQuest and was developed in the Sundance Collab Episodic Program, where he workshopped the series with industry veterans including Sam Ernst (Netflix’s Daredevil) and Tracey Whitaker (NBC’s Blindspot). He also co-wrote and optioned a project based on the concept trailer for Neon Nights, alongside Simu Lui (Marvel’s Shang-Chi). Yair continues to build an ambitious development slate across film and television, including action-driven features, grounded sci-fi, and serialized thrillers.

Beyond writing, Yair brings years of professional experience inside the production ecosystem, having worked in production accounting and operations on multiple scripted projects. This background gives his producing approach a practical edge—he understands budgets, schedules, and the realities of taking a story from page to screen, and he builds his projects with that execution in mind.

A Belgian-born creative now living in Toronto with his wife and newborn son, Yair is driven by character, world-building, and the pursuit of stories that linger long after the final frame.
